We have more than 60 mature trees on our acre lot, and we need the power blower to keep them under control. This machine also has a front blower rather than a side blower, but the guard shute can be detached for side blowing (other machines have a lever to change the blowing direction). It was fairly easy to put together although you need some strength to separate the handle to slide it into place. I had to use a small crow bar, but once there, it was easy to tighten the wheel bolts into place. After adding oil (you need a long tubed gas or oil funnel) and gas, one pull of the flywheel rope was all I needed to start. Flywheels have been the bane of my existence, so I was very pleased. The machine itself is much quieter than the professional models. All in all, it does an excellent job on the walks and driveway and a pretty good job on the grounds. At least I can get the leaves into big piles to then pick up. Also, it’s half the price of the other brands, which was a major consideration for me.
